Books

“There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island” – Walt Disney

A library or a book store is a modern day Treasure Island. One can paint their own future by getting inspired by reading books of their interest. One can really see how many genres are available and a good library will carry uncommon books which you will not be able to access through the internet.

Books are your vital change agents, which can provide the collective wisdom of the author in a very distilled form.

Books provide guidance & techniques which have worked for others and took years for them to experiment, master and achieve. Their knowledge is available at a very affordable cost and is easy to be read in a week or two.

Studies show that many successful people in different fields have a habit of reading a variety of books and on an average they read 40 to 60 books a year, which is almost a book per week.

If you dream to reach a successful level, this is one of the skills you need to acquire as well.

Books expand your understanding and make you take BOLD steps.

In my opinion, books are a great way to spend time productively, and also if you were to give a gift, especially to the budding generation, gift them with great books. Books are priceless and the change they can produce is intangible.

Every book is a thought seed.
Each book’s worth is intangible.

When we want to give a gift to others, most times we are tempted to give material gifts for many reasons. Instead, always try to sneak in a book with your gift. This is an indirect way to empower them without the receiver knowing it.

One of the biggest secrets of rich people is,
they spend money to make more money.

Nowadays, many have credit cards and spend a lot of money, and as a byproduct we acquire spending points. How do you best use the points and make the most returns out of your points investment?

In my opinion, you can invest those purchase points in buying books. I use my Amazon credit card and with all the purchases I make, I get points, and I am able to buy a good number of books every year.

Convert your daily spending to a thought seed of growth.

Now Amazon also makes it easy to buy used books and rent books – what a great option for casual readers like me to utilize the points. One thing though, Amazon does not allow points to be used for Kindle reader books.
